And since God loves us, he will not judge us as coldly as many would like us to believe, but rather he is what makes humans sepeate from the beasts: love.

A great big AMEN to that!

1John 4:7, Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8, He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9, In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
10, Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11, Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12, No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us.
13, Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.

1John 4:16, And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in Him.
17, Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.
18, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19, We love Him, because He first loved us.
20, If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21, And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Romans 13:8, Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Romans 13:10, Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Galatians 5:14, For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself

James 2:8, If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

Matthew 22:37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40, On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

As far as Judgment goes of course we are to be Judged for Every action, word, and deed. The Bible tells us that even our Thoughts will be Judged.

while I agree we will all be judged, that judgment will be for rewards and not salvation... our salvation has already been established in what Jesus did, He is the foundation that we build on...

Matthew 16:27, For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

1Corinthians 3:10, According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11, For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12, Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13, Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14, If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

God is and will always be Love and those of us who go to God His way, being cleansed of our sins by His own blood, find out that God is Love. Love and Judgment are not opposites or are they mutually exclusive. Are we supposed to love what is wrong? Do we love hatred? Are we to love cruelty? Should we love Rejection? Abandonment? Of course not!

Amen! Revelation 3:19, As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Galatians 5:22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

if we find these things in a man, we know the Spirit of God dwelleth in that man... only the Spirit can manifest these fruits in a persons life.

God has shown many, many times that Judgment is here and it is to come and that No-One escapes Gods judgment. In fact in the Bible individuals, people, even cities, towns, nations and the entire world are all each judged by God according to the desires and condition of their heart and therefore their actions.

1Corinthians 4:5, Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Gods faithfulness is as sure as the Sun rising in the morning and one thing God is faithful to do is to Judge and to execute Righteous Judgment. Gods judgment is something that we all need to be aware of and something that we all need to match our thoughts and actions to Knowing that for certain we will each be held accountable for the actions we freely choose to take.

Matthew 10:28, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

1Corinthians 5:5, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

while it is true that many "choose" to sin and they will be judged by God, there are those who do not know any better and strive to "do good" and to "love their neighbors" but have never been told the Truth, that Jesus set them free from the bondage of sin and death, these are counted as justified in the "love" they have for the things of God and for man... Romans 2:13, (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

we as christians need to understand that Jesus trully did die for the sins of every man and has restored ALL things back to Himself... the problem is that man does not know this and that is what we need to be telling them... not that they need to join some "church body" or they have to be baptised by water or speak in tongues, those are all things that happen AFTER we have come to Jesus, they are not what lead men to Him... it is His love that cause those who are lost to desire Him and to accept Him when they see it in His followers, they can not love Him if they do not see Him and it is up to us to show the love of God through Jesus Christ given to ALL men... unfortunately IMHO the "christian church" has failed miseralbly in this commission.

God is love. He is holy love. I agree on that, of course.
When we contemplate God, as contemplate what He tells us in His Word, not what we imagine things to be or to say. The reason for that is that God will always honor His Word. It will always come to pass. It is going to happen. No matter what we think or feel at all. The Word is TRUTH and we know that God's ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

We are in fact judged by the Word of God. Everytime. We can count on it. An example:Proverb 23

[29] Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
[31] Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

Here, clearly the scripture is talking about drunkeness. It tells what wine can cause--woe, babbling, contentions, etc. Now, I just gave this as it came to mind. Here we cannot say that God 'JUDGED" us for being drunkards. No, we cannot say that. The Word tells us what drinking causes. It is written. That means it will stand forever as Thy Word is Truth. Now, God does not come and see to it that there is babbling, contention etc. Does He come to judge us? No, it is written in the Word and so it will happen. WHATEVER THE WORD SAYS IS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

Whatever the Word says will happen. We just read the Word, study it, and we can tell anyone ahead of time that 'if we do this or that' THEN
we can expect this to happen. Trying to make it clear here without a lot of repetition.

Now, I know that when we come to salvation, and decide to make Jesus our Lord that we are forgiven of our sins, and I know that when we sin thereafter that we do have an advocate with the Father...Jesus is that advocate and no one else. We can only come to the Father in the name of Jesus as He is the One and the ONLY Mediator.

However, we have to remember that we are called to obedience. WE are saved by faith in Him, but we are called to obey as well, so that we will have joy and a peaceable life. So that we can take His Word to those who have need of salvation in Christ.

Yes, AMen. The Word of God is true. It will always come to pass.
The Word itself judges us all. We can always call upon God to have mercy upon us when we know we have sinned. Yes, even the thoughts and intents of our hearts are judged. God is The Righteous Judge.
